Peace House Ministries Helping Women To Grow
With The Lord
Many of us roam through our lives, wondering
just what God has in mind for us. Well, Patty Bultmon
isn’t one of those people. After coming close to death in 2007, Patty asked the
Lord for instructions for the remainder of her life. She asked Him to make it
perfectly clear, and what she was to do in her short time left here on
Earth. Patty explains, “I greatly desire to do all that He wants of me,
and not to waste a minute of the precious time I am given.
She adds, “Only
through the grace and mercy of God am I here today.” She studied God's Word and stood on the verse
in Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the
Lord. “They are plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a
hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen, You
will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest."
She says that she is
humbled at the thought that God might actually allow her to work for
Him. The Word of God has all the answers.
Patty knew that she had to do his will and writing a book
to help people seemed to come first. Together with a friend, Patty wrote
“Common Threads.” The second book in the series will soon be published.
In addition to
writing, Patty studied and became a certified Christian Counselor and the
founder of Peace House Ministries, which offers women hope and comfort through
Jesus Christ. The Counseling/Life-coaching is part of "Peace House
Ministries". If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to or pray
with who will use the Bible to guide us to the Healer, Our Lord, I am
willing. I know that I can do nothing
apart from Him. I pray and ask God to
use me. He will heal the lost and broken-hearted and comfort those in need. My prayer is: "Lord, I am Yours to do Your will; give me Your eyes and Your compassion,
in Jesus' name." Patty is joined by her close friend, Patty Lahey,
in this ministry.
Peace House is not a
home where girls or children live. It is
a place where they learn about living a life pleasing to Jesus. It is a retreat center, a Bibles Study place,
a life skills place, a place filled with the love of the Lord! Where all women are welcome and encouraged to come, for prayer,
learning, for hope and encouragement.
The previous owners of this grand 101 year old home
were Tim and yes, the “other” Patty and they called and offered the house for
sale to us as they wanted it to be a Peace House, as they had watched our
ministry at work over the past few years. It was a God Thing! It has been miracle after miracle ever
since. God is faithful to never leave
us, and He has proven His love for us through His amazing healing and peace
which can only happen through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Patty ads, “We have totally re-done the house,
the big changes are to the front of the house, we added the porch!. The inside has been totally re done as well, just
updating mostly. God has brought
donations and gifts that are perfect for the house, you can’t imagine that it
was all gifted, when you see it, it looks like a decorator picked it all out, God
loves beauty!! It is so full of peace that
you feel it as you enter! So many have made that comment!”
The retreats are for
specific topics. One for those who want
more of Jesus, called Going deeper; one for the abused; one is for those who
have aborted a child; one is for those who have gone thru a divorce; one is a
purity retreat for young girls; and many more to come. After attending a Bible
study for weeks the ladies are rewarded with an overnight stay (retreat). It is exciting what God is doing!
We will host an
intimate retreat for groups wanting to experience Jesus and His love. Full of prayer and pampering. The home is also available for
small groups to host a tea or meeting.
We got possession of
the house September 1, 2013, but we had been able to begin to paint and re-do a
bit, prior to that. There is also a guest house quarters.
We are wildly working
to finish the house by the open house dates, Oct 24-27.
God is at work and we
are privileged and humbled to join Him. We want women of all ages to realize
His amazing love for them. Both Patty's have
experienced His love, His grace and His truth and we want to share it with
everyone we meet! Matthew 9:36-38 When
He (Jesus) saw the crowds, He had compassion on them,
because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples,
"The harvest is
plentiful but the workers are few."
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out the workers into His
harvest field.
Since Patty Lahey has joined
this ministry we have a two fold mission. One, Patty Bultman’s
mission is to help those wanting to get their lives directed to the plan that
Jesus has for them. Patty’s personal
past of painful sin and its consequences, and healing after finding the love of
Jesus. Two; Patty Lahey’s mission is to guide those
who love the Lord and want more of God’s Word; becoming disciples and to do
more but don’t know where to begin. All from her personal life of doing all” the Church” things but not
having the deep, personal, intimate relationship with Jesus. This draws the two ministries together, those
drawing ever closer to the Lord forming relationship with those who need
mentors and to be loved by God’s people, all forming intimate relationships
with Jesus. It is God’s perfect plan.
It is a place worth the wait,….it has been nearly 18
years since the Lord whisper to my spirit ”there will be a Peace House.” And all the years of God teaching and showing
me exactly what He had planned. This
house is far greater than I could have ever thought or imagined!
Blessed with two
grown sons, Patty lives in Hugoton, Kansas with her husband and
love-of-her-life, Alan. Patty enjoys interior design and facilitating
Bible studies.
She openly shares her
life story with anyone who will listen; a life quite unexplainable without
God's intervention and salvation.
As part of her commitment
to God, Patty also makes herself available to share her Christian testimony to
women’s groups, civic groups, churches or “just about anyone who will listen.”
She can be reached at her Hugoton phone, 620-428-2046. You can also read more
